Sophia Vergara
In 2014, actor Joe Manganiello presented Sofia Vergara with an engagement ring featuring a very large cushion-cut diamond, possibly five to seven carats with F color, adorned with a sparkling halo setting. The thin, delicate band also has very small diamonds to complement the large center stone and halo.
Blake Lively
When actor Ryan Reynolds proposed to actress Blake Lively in 2012, he took an unconventional route. Her engagement ring was a two-million dollar pink diamond. Set in rose gold, the gorgeous oval-cut stone also has small pavé diamonds around the band. Jeweler Lorraine Schwartz custom designed the pink diamond ring to have an Art Deco look.
Kate Middleton
Kate Middleton's blue sapphire engagement ring is likely the most famous engagement ring of all time. The Duchess of Cambridge wears the ring that once decorated the finger of Princess Diana. The famous royal ring contains an 18-carat diamond and sapphire stone that was purchased in 1981 by Prince Charles. The ring has increased in value over the years and is now worth half a million dollars. However, no monetary amount can compete with the sentimental value of the beautiful ring and the sweet gesture made by Prince William when he proposed with his mother's ring.
Jessica Simpson
Singer and actress Jessica Simpson became engaged to Eric Johnson in 2010. Johnson went to jeweler Neil Lane, who helped him choose a romantic five-carat ring featuring an oversized ruby in the center, embellished by two diamonds. The ruby is Jessica's birthstone and symbolizes love. The custom ring includes smaller diamonds that encircle the band.
Molly Sims
In the following photo, Molly Sims shows off her cushion-cut diamond engagement ring. The stone is set in platinum with a halo setting that gives it a vintage vibe. Experts estimate that the center stone weighs five to six carats and has a value of $80,000 or more. The bauble looks as gorgeous as its wearer!
Carrie Underwood
Professional hockey player Mike Fisher proposed to country singer Carrie Underwood in 2009 with a canary yellow diamond engagement ring. The ring, designed by jeweler Johnathan Arndt, contains 12 total carats of diamonds. The yellow diamond itself weighs roughly five carats. Smaller diamonds encircle the flawless center stone. Rumored to be worth over a million dollars, the engagement ring fits into her wedding ring beautifully for a stunning bridal set.
Kelly Clarkson
Former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson has come a long way from her humble days in Texas. In 2013, the popular singer said yes to Brandon Blackstock when he presented her with a jaw-dropping yellow canary diamond ring. Created by Johnathan Arndt, the ring includes a flawless, square-cut yellow diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds. Diamonds also embellish the ring band.
Elizabeth Hurley
British actress, model, and fashion designer Elizabeth Hurley accepted a square-cut sapphire engagement ring from cricket player Shane Warne when he proposed in 2011. The platinum ring boasts two-carat trillion-cut diamonds on each side of the oversized nine-carat sapphire. The value of the ring exceeds $100,000.
Mariah Carey
Multi-platinum singer Mariah Carey is the proud owner of a $2.5 million dollar engagement ring, chosen by Nick Cannon and designed by Jacob & Co in 2008. The ring features a gorgeous 17-carat pink diamond, embellished with small diamonds around the band. Two larger diamonds accompany the square-cut pink sparkler in the center of the ring. This ring is one of the most expensive and largest celebrity engagement rings. It seems a perfect match for the diva's oversized personality and sense of style!
